The Unforgettable Fire Tour - Blue

Tour Legs: This programme covers legs 2 & 3 of the Unforgettable Fire tour, which were the first European and North America concert legs respectively. The European concert dates listed in the programme were the correct dates (remembering that the first programme 'Blue Down Under' listed the European dates before they were postponed/cancelled).

The programme only listed the European concert dates up to 15 Nov 1984, but U2 also play in Dortmund, Germany on 21 Nov as part of the Rockpop concert in which other artists also performed. It was at this Dortmund concert that one the more widely circulated bootlegs from this time is from.

Leg 2 - 18 Oct 1984 to 15 Nov 1984 (20 shows)

Leg 3 - 1 Dec 1984 to 16 Dec 1984 (10 shows)

Cost: I picked up the one pictured here for $30USD from the music memorabilia website http://www.gemm.com/. The sellers store name is Musicmaniacs and the seller, Roger was a pleasure to deal with so if you're looking for the odd bit of memorabilia, I highly recommend this guy.

This one is normally on ebay for between $50-$80 USD. They are usually as 'Buy It Now', so do look around you should be able to get it for a lot less.

Tour personnel - note the addition of Greg Carrol as Video Technician. Greg was added to the crew during the New Zealand shows. Greg was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in Dublin in 1986. The song One Tree Hill off the Joshua Tree album was written as a memorial to Greg.
