360º - New Zealand & Australia 2010

post under construction....

Tour Legs: This program is from the 4th leg of the 360º tour where U2 played 10 shows in New Zealand and Australia (2 in NZ & 8 in Australia). This leg started on 25 Nov 2010 at Mt Smart Stadium, NZ and finished on 19 Dec 2010 at Subiaco Oval in Perth, Australia.
Dates covered in program: The concert dates in the program replicate perfectly the actual concert dates played
No. of pages:
Size: 28cm x 24.5cm
Printing: Printed on nice high gloss think paper. The cover is the same as the 3rd leg European version (which is different to the first 2 legs).
Cost: I bought this one at the second Sydney concert on 14 Dec 2010. I think they were $30-40 at the merchandise tent. At time of writing you can still buy this program from the U2.com website shop for only $25. It might be some time until these start appearing on the auction websites so buy from the source if you can to guarantee an unused copy.

*360º - Europe 2010

post under construction....

Tour Legs: This program was for the 3rd leg of the 360º tour, the second European leg of the tour and first time since the War tour that U2 did 2 European legs before they did 2 North America legs. This leg of the tour started on 6 Aug 2010 at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin, Italy and ran for 22 shows up until 8 Aug where the final concert was played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. This leg of the tour only visited countries on mainland Europe and played at no less than 6 different stadium that had Olympic in their name.
Dates covered in program: 6 Aug 2010 to 8 Oct 2010. All concerts played on dates as per program.
No. of pages: 36
Size: 28cm x 24.5cm
Printing: Printed on glossy thick pages. This is a really nice program, well presented with interview segments and great pictures throughout, the best one's being the photo's taken from concerts earlier in the tour. Contains the Aung San Suu Kyi face cut out and has the 'Presented by Blackberry' page on the rear inside fold out.
Cost: £15 from the U2.com website shop. I've seen this one also listed on ebay for the same price.

360º - North America 2009

post under construction....

Tour Legs: This program is the for the second leg of the 360˚ tour. This leg being the 1st North America leg that started on 12 Sept 2009 in Chicago and finished on 28 Oct 2009 on Vancouver Canada. Only 20 shows were played on this leg of the tour which makes it the 4th shortest North America tour leg over U2's history of touring there.
Dates covered in program: 12 Sept 2009 to 28 Oct 2009
No. of pages: 36 pages
Size: 28cm x 24.5cm
Printing: Printed on thick glossy paper throughout with extra thick pages around the Aung San Suu Kyi face cut out. However the pages are thinner than the thick pages from the Leg 1 program.
The minimalistic front and back covers are retained from the program from the first leg, but there are quite a few pictorial changes inside. We see a lot of concert photo's now replacing the promo style pictures from the first program. Of course these concert photo's were most likely taken during the first leg. So we get to the see the massive stage set up in more detail than the concept and design drawings we see in the first program, although the concept and design pages are retained for this program.
Cost: I think I got this one for $20 on ebay. I'm seeing less and less of this program on ebay, but when it does turn up it normally lists anywhere between $15 and $50 (some sellers are hopeful). As this program is still considered as recent, you shouldn't have any trouble picking this program up in great condition with little to none shelf wear and the thick pages would have helped protect it.

360º - Europe 2009

post under construction....

Tour Legs: This program is for the first leg of the 360º tour which was in Europe. The first leg of the tour officially kicked off on 30 Jun 2009 at Barcelona's Camp Nou and concluded on 22 Aug 2009 at the Millennium Stadium in Wales.

There were 24 shows in all, however there was a full dress rehearsal on 29 Jun 2009 at the Camp Nou which was played in front of a small audience of a few hundred.
Dates covered in program: 30 Jun 2009 to 22 Aug 2009
No. of pages: 36 pages
Size: 28cm x 24.5cm
Printing: Printed on thick glossy paper throughout, the program contains photo's and interview with the band members. There is a distinct black and white feel to the content with the odd burst of orange. Included is a cut out mask of Burmese pro democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The rear fold cover fold out has a page advertising that the tour is sponsored by Blackberry. U2 have seldom used endorsements.
Cost: May still be able to be bought from the U2.com website shop for £15. I bought mine in a private sale for £15. I haven't seen many of this one on ebay, probably due to the reason that it is still on sale officially from the website (which can dictate the price). As it's still a recent program, don't pay over £15 unless it's a autographed copy.

The 360º Tour - 2009-2011

post under construction...

The 360º tour started on 29 Jun 2009 at the Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain and is scheduled to finish on 30 Jul 2011 at the Magnetic Hill Music Festival Site in Moncton, Canada. This 3 year tour comprises of 7 legs and eclipses the ZOO TV tour as the longest tour in terms of beginning and end but will only come in as 5th in terms of the actual number of concerts played on tour.

Leg 1 (Europe) - 29 Jun 2009 to 22 Aug 2009 (25 shows)
Leg 2 (North America) - 12 Sep 2009 to 28 Oct 2009 (20 shows)
Leg 3 (Europe) - 6 Aug 2010 to 8 Oct 2010 (22 shows)
Leg 4 (New Zealand & Australia) - 25 Nov 2010 to 19 Dec 2010 (10 shows)
Leg 5 (South Africa) - 13 Feb 2011 to 18 Feb 2011 (2 shows)
Leg 6 (South America) - 25 Mar 2011 to 13 Apr 2011 (7 shows)
Leg 7 (North America) - 11 May 2011 to 30 Jul 2011 (25 shows)

The 360º tour was initially in support of the 2009 album No Line on the Horizon, however in the later legs of the tour only a handful of songs from the album are played. It is rumoured that U2 are writing a new album during the tour and some unreleased songs have already been played at concerts in the second half of the tour.

On this tour U2 have re-undertaken the task of building a set design, this time in the shape of a massive claw in which the band play underneath on a round stage hence the audience are seated in 360º (in the round) of the band. Again, new technology is used on the impressive video screen that expands down above the band in a honeycomb effect. Due to the size of the stage set, this tour is a all outdoor stadium tour.

There are 6 tour programs for this tour. They are:

Leg 1 - 2009 European Tour
Leg 2 - 2009 US Tour
Leg 3 - 2010 Europe Tour
Leg 4 - 2010 Australian Tour
Legs 5 & 6 - 2011 South Africa and South America
Leg 7 - 2011 North America Tour

*Vertigo - Japan

post under construction....

Tour Legs: This program covers the Japan section of the 5th leg of the Vertigo tour. The Japan leg consisted of only 3 shows, all at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Dates covered in program: No concert dates are covered in this program. The only reference to this program being from the Japan leg of the Vertigo tour is the printed reference on page one of the program where VERTIGO//JAPAN//2006 is printed. (pictured below)
No. of pages: 32
Size: 35cm x 29.5cm
Printing: Printed on thick pages in a matte finish. This program is pretty much exactly the same as the those available for the preceding legs of this tour, but with the notable exception being that all the typed text is in Japanese. U2 continued the trend from set all the way back to the war tour of having a separate program for their Japanese audience (with the exclusion of the PopMart tour).

As this program was only available at the 3 Japanese concerts on this leg of the tour, it's a little more hard to find than the four previously available programs from the Vertigo tour.
